Vintage 1962 NRA Letter about Marlin Tip Up Revolver

Description

This is a vintage 1962 letter I received from NRA director
H E MacFarland concerning a very old revolver I found
in the basement of the house I was living in Lawrence, KS.
The revolver I found was an 1878 Marlin Standard in 38 S & W
caliber and I was attempting to find out a little more information.
As it turned out, Mr. MacFarland didn't have much helpful information
on the revolver, but I kept the letter all these years as a keepsake.
Note that it is printed on NRA stationary and a stamp cost $ .04 back then
and no zip code.
