Description
Offered is a form letter that was enclosed with one or more Texas Instruments calculators in the early 1970's.TI was new in the calculator market, and this letter shows their anxiousness to satisfy their customers.
From Vice President John R. Brougher Jr., it even asks the new customer to call him collect if assistance is needed, and gave what was then his personal number. (I have covered the number with a post-it note, though Mr. Brougher has passed away.)
The letter was boxed with a calculator I bought some years ago, gone and forgotten. I found one reference to the letter online where the writer said he got the letter with his TI-3500, which would have been about 1972.
It is printed on a beige/yellow paper, bears some stains, bends, and standard letter folds. The text in the letter and the signature are printed, they are NOT type-written and signed (i.e. NOT an actual autograph). I imagine quite a few identical letters went out.
Any questions, let me know.
