Up for auction is an old hand written letter on Trinity Baptist Church Stationary from the church by the same name in Montebello, California-
Was mailed in matching Church Envelope from California to Memphis, TN.-
Envelope has two 3 cent stamps on it-
2 page letter (writing on front and back of both pages) measures about 10 ½” by 8 ½”-
Letter is written from the associate pastor Vester L. Hardy-
Letter mentions how he is in school at night, and how Jean (I assume his wife) works in the church office, and goes to school to “learn more about office work.” It goes on to say “a neighbor lady is taking care of Jannie while we are both out during the day.” Later it tells how they are working with the children in the community, saying “people are not satisfied with working just at the church..we must offer them something more”-
Letter and envelope are in fairly good condition with slight wear from age-
