    ** Darryl F. Zanuck (1902-1979) was an American film producer and studio executive,
    one of the kingpins of the Hollywood studio system. Vice-President in charge of production
    at 20th Century Fox 1935-1952; later an independent producer. Won three Best Picture Academy
    Awards; received three Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Awards. After his 3rd win, the rules were
    changed to limit one Thalberg Award to one person.
    Joseph L. Mankiewicz was an American film director, screenwriter and producer. He had a long Hollywood
    career and twice won the Academy Award for both Best Director and Best Screenplay for
    A letter to Three
    Wives
    (1949) and
    All About Eve
    (1950). He was the younger brother of writer, screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz.
