    Description

    Authentic and original Emile Galle' French Cameo Art Nouveau Glass vase, circa 1900's. This stunning 2-layer vase has beautifully detailed amethyst flowers and foliage carved in relief above the frosted acid-etched cameo glass background.
    The hand engraved detail in cameo and acid etched leaves and flowers on a faint yellow, pale pink and light green background. Pâte de verre (glass paste) process for art glass and crystal sculptures, a technique in which crushed glass is packed into a refractory mould and then fused in a kiln. Signed in cameo "Galle" on side of vase.
