    Description

Original C.C. BECK typed June 2, 1973 dated and signed letter to DON NEWTON. 8 1/2 x 11, three pages (single-sided), each page on C.C. Beck Studio stationary. Letter signed "C.C." (not Beck's full signature). Excellent condition.
Subject of letter is the beginning of C.C. Beck's problems with D.C. Comics and Julius Schwartz over scripts Beck refused to draw because Beck thought they were terrible (those scripts were later drawn by other artists and published in SHAZAM #10 and #11 in 1973). Beck also discusses his drawing techniques.
