  • Condition: This auction is for a 1954 touching typed letter from a man named Claude with a drinking problem to Walter Willisson Stephen, son of Rev. W.O. Stephen. Letterhead is from the State of Georgia Supreme Court in Atlanta and the gentleman worked for Bond Almand. He writes that he had worked for the late Judge Russell a longtime friend of his father but due to his drinking he had to resign. He must have owed Walter money and some of the letter is related to that. Then he tells a sad story of his wife having an attack of the flu that damaged her heart so badly she had to retire.
